Good morning,
Father Ted held Mass this morning. His awareness showed as he distributed the ashes almost immediately after the second reading--allowing those who needed to head off to work to leave. Also, he saved his Gospel reflections until after the rest of the Mass for the same reason. It was nice to see the relief in people's eyes as they scurried away to start their work day. One man was dressed for work as a mail carrier--it was nice to have that reminder that what brings us people together is greater than what divides us.
Listened to a fabulous http://heymonicab.com/ radio program last night devoted to the kapha dosha. I feel like a poster-child kapha now. I'm excited that I've downloaded the podcasts to my iPod so I can listen to one of them while I walk at lunch today. Speaking of lunch, anyone have any spicy veggie recipes? I think I'll start poking around the Internets for some.
Have a great day!

Missing
My cat is missing. He has been missing since Thursday. This has happened before, but now he's a bit older. My mom believes the coyotes caught up with him. I'm really bummed about it, but not much to do about it, I guess. We'll call the local paper to see if they'll run an add to see if he's found. Looking pretty dim...
In other news, thinking about getting a Tofurkey this year with the regular fresh turkey for Thanksgiving. Do not know what the family will think, but I think if I made it, everyone would at least try some.
Been cleaning the house getting ready for Thanksgiving. We're hosting on Friday, instead of Thursday, as that's when everyone on my side of our family can make it.

Bitter, Need to Vent
Alright, I know, too little, too late, but I really need to vent about something. I got married in September 2006. My wedding was wonderful.
Leading up to the wedding, I had tried to set up time with an inexperienced coordinator, who offered her services free to me so she could gain experience. She had worked with my sister, so that is how I found out about her. She had helped me meet with a seamstress, her friend, who had helped me work out ideas on the dress. I left my mom's wedding dress with the seamstress, while I tried out other options, since I wasn't aware of what I was deciding on at that point. The coordinator was fine with it, as she was trying to be helpful. This was Sept/Oct/Nov of 2005.
Well, once wedding planning things started happening, she was not as easy to get a hold of or to coordinate things with. While she did go with me to look at flowers, she was not open to what I was saying. The more I thought about it, the more uncomfortable I was with a pushy coordinator.
Well, 6 months until the wedding, I decided I needed to not have her involved anymore. I had scheduled the vast, vast majority of everything, she had only slightly helped me with the seamstress and gone with me to look at flowers. I let her know that I was unable to schedule things that worked out with both of us, and I needed to get on with the rest of the planning, of which she had not been able to work on me with.
Well, this woman still supposedly still has the dress. I am bitter to no end. This woman refuses to answer her telephone, emails or call back. I am sure this is a lost cause, but I am just so sick about it. Both my sister and I have tried to reach her countless times but to no avail.
I am just so sick about this entire scenario. My heart goes out to those brides who are taken advantage of by the sick, twisted or lazy individuals who are not keeping the bride's best interest at heart. May karma bite the ass of those who have bitten others.
Hopefully I can find peace in my heart after this rant.

In your Easter bonnet...
Had a nice time off for Easter. Mamaw has a couple of masses more than what was originally thought. This weighs heavily on my mind.
We did have a nice Easter/Birthday parties yesterday. It was a frog-themed event. Pretty cute, I thought. Although I got lots of jokes for being old. *sigh*
I did have a dream this morning. Basically, I was in class with Prince (before he was famous). In his report he mentioned how well I had helped him search for the information he needed (that he read aloud in class.) After class he asked if we could go to the movies. I said, "sure." Well, apparently, in Prince's mind, going to the movies is going back to his dorm room where he can grope you. *Shock* I went back to my dorm room where, of course, I had only underwear and a see-through sweater on because Prince had just molested me. And, of course, he had the keys to my dorm room, so I had to hang out in the lobby, where all the Chitties were having a 3:00AM brunch because one of the Chitties, Rachel (don't know her), had died. I cried out terribly for her, even though I didn't know who she was.
