1. We are supposed to be getting a new roof tomorrow. Not sure about the weather if this, in fact, will take place.
2. Played tennis this morning with my husband. *heart* It was so much fun to DO something active together. Walks don't count, since all he does is complain about them. We had a good time just volleying the ball back 'n forth. We only played 1 game/pt each, seeing as that our serves were sucking ass. But I certainly took the time and thought about how great it was to be out and enjoying some fresh air with the hubby.
3. Am getting used to the new boss. Thus far, I am so happy she is here. :)
4. Am the "Matron of Honor" for Rae-Rae's wedding next August. (Bummie is "Maid of Honor".)
5. Dad is in New Orleans helping with Katrina effort. He will be there until the end of May. He's an independent contractor for the gov't. I think he's having a good time doing something completely different. He's some kind of quality control guy.
6. Mamaw had a mastectomy a week ago. She is doing ok, but is bummed that she cannot dress herself. She also keeps bitching about the fact we gave her a new shirt to wear but didn't wash it yet. Oh yes, and when Bummie, Mom and I were leaving from visiting her in the hospital, Bummie promptly mooned the entire wing of the hospital, just in case Mamaw was looking. :)
7. Going to AZ Palm Sunday - Holy Thursday to visit our staff out there. Also to make sure the boss is comfortable with everything out there. This will be our only joint visit. After that, she will probably be doing most of the traveling.
Ta-ta for now. Must find some good books to read. We still do not know if we are doing a big vacation this year or what...

Life, she has gotten better since 5PM...
What a day!
I'll put this in Cliff's Notes.
Problem with database access being open to the world. Problem fixed. Students ticked off. Royally. I send email to notify students. Email server gets special and sends this email to students 50 times (not exaggerating). I get "mailbox not delivered, full" over 7,000 times in my email. That's right, people. SEVEN THOUSAND TIMES. I have to respond to the over 20 emails and phone calls this morning dealing with this database problem as well as the email server problem. Student hangs up the telephone on me.
Go out for drinks with Jules at Rock Bottom in Yorktown. We drink and plot and scheme. Day gets magnificently better. (Also the warm pretzel, Pomtini and fried calamari did help.)
Will have to fill you in about the interviewing schedule tomorrow. Life is crazy and so is my husband. Crazy in LOVE that is. *teehee*

All hearts now. Good night.

Panic in the kitchen...
So....
I made a very nice meatloaf, mashed potatoes and green bean dinner last night for Mr.Catman. And he had oatmeal raisin cookies for dessert.
We have a rule: the person cooking does not have to clean up. So, Mr. Catman was working on hand-washing dishes while I was making cookies. Of course, he does not want to get his wedding band dirty, so he places his shiny ring on our black potholders in order to wear the ring when he finishes.
Well, Mrs.Catman needs the potholders. So she quietly relocates his wedding band to a safer edge of the counter where her rings are. So they can 'be together.' Catman finishes, then proceeds to the television, to watch the World Series. After about 5 minutes he rushes to the kitchen, all in a panic, trying to find his ring that is no longer on the potholders that were being used.
"Um,where's my ring? I set it right here on the potholder."
(Panic, panic)
"I relocated it to a safer place next to mine."
You should've seen the relief in his face. Just another reason why I love this man. He was so sincere. (Insert mushy, mushy sounds.)
